RGM Vent ordered 106 No. KONVEKTA K500 PVC multi-bank dampers for installation at the Helensburgh Leisure Centre in Argyll & Bute, Scotland.
KONVEKTA products were specified for this project by RSP Consulting Engineers (Edinburgh) who – working in collaboration with Darnton B3 Architecture – clearly understood that corrosion can reduce efficiency, increase maintenance and ultimately reduce life-cycle span.
Our specialist corrosion-resistant dampers are the perfect solution for areas where airborne chemicals – such as chlorine, in the case of a Leisure Centre featuring swimming pools – can cause havoc with standard, metal-based dampers.
These small-format K500 PVC dampers – designed and manufactured at our Haslingden base – were mostly fitted with circular spigot connections to accept regular, circular PVC ductwork; and all were supplied with lockable manual quadrant handle controls. They negate concerns over the premature need for replacement products, with all the associated removal and reinstallation costs…not to mention the downtime and inconvenience this would otherwise create for both the client and the public end users.
